How do we get lost to ourselves?
In a culture that values performance over realness, we often learn to deny or disguise the messy, complicated stuff — the painful emotions, forbidden desires and even the flashes of brilliance and unpopular truth.
Where do these rejected parts go? These "orphaned selves" don't disappear. They simply recede into the shadows. They wait. They hope. They wonder if we will ever come back for them…
Leza Danly — Author
Leza began her professional career as an actor and singer. Her first paid performing job was as a singer in Disneyland in 1976. She holds a B.S. in Theater from Skidmore College, spent a year as an actor at Arkansas Repertory Theater, and later became part of a vocal duo, touring Asia in the early 1980s.
A decade later, Leza became a Life Coach and workshop leader for Co-Active Training Institute. She went on to found Lucid Living, Inc., offering a robust curriculum of soul-based transformation for more than twenty-five years.
Leza has spent her professional career bringing inspiration to others, weaving a story at the intersection of the creative arts and healing arts. Soul Breadcrumbs is a full circle moment, marking her return to the stage after forty-two years.
She lives on Bainbridge Island, WA with her husband, Frank.

Christine McHugh — Director
Christine has combined her background in theatre with her training as a life-coach to help facilitate people’s personal transformation through spoken memoir. She has directed over 25 solo shows and toured her own show, Parents Must Be Dead, across the country in 2018. She has taught theatre, improvisation and leadership at institutions from elementary schools, to colleges and corporate organizations. She currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she works as an intimacy coordinator in the film and television industry.
